Nina, lately I’ve been dealing with one trouble after another at work, so your words really encouraged me, especially the idea that it’s okay for goals to change along the way. 😇
It's more than okay. It's totally normal. We sometimes think there is only one way to reach our goal. But I think if it doesn't happen the way we imagined, it's because we have more to learn to be ready for it. But most importantly, life isn't really about the goal itself. It's about the journey, what comes our way and our growth.
Are you able to observe what those troubles are bringing to light?
Nina, thanks for the encouraging advice. I feel like God is telling me to slow down and be still for a while. You always seem to show up with the right words at exactly the right time. You’ve helped me so many times. Thank you, my friend. 😇
Thank you for sharing all this, Christian. Your story carries weight and colors, and that's why your beautiful soul is deep. 🩷 Do you regret not being a lawyer? I find the work we do, standing for our clients, having their back, getting their goals to happen, in a way has some similarities with what a lawyer does.
I am kinda chuckling because clarity is a step in my framework when working with strategy clients but for a different reason. Most want the end goal so they can receive the ogling of success. You see it on LinkedIn often I quit my job now I make 67mil a year and the comments all sing their praise. We want the shiny because the process is not clean cut. The start and end are but the in process no. I have known since in my 20’s I wanted my own consulting firm as I knew even that young that I had a unique way of explaining things that click. I have failed miserable to my standards as I did not come from a good start. I started working at 8 illegally to have basics and did other things to make money as well all in hopes that I could get to college and wash the disgust of poverty off. I was going to be a great attorney and be one people looked to for inspo. I could see it like a movie. Now after much loss, failure in being able to get a steady stream of clients and connections I can see the process was beneficial as I work with my first paid strategy client. My process has made me diamond encrusted but the delay has grounded me in the ability to not be afraid to experiment and pivot.
🩷 Sevval for the restack!
It makes me happy that I can help you in this way. Now you know why I'm an empowerment coach! ☺️🤭 You are very welcome, Keiichiro!
